Carlos Hyde of the San Francisco 49ers has been able to play despite suffering a foot injury that debilitated him during practices in October. Hyde had shared that the foot injury was actually a stress fracture. Hyde stated, “I just put too much pressure, too much weight on it. It hurts when I put too much weight on it. It just shocked me how bad it hurt when I tried to put too much weight on it, and I just went down.”

The stress on the feet causes cracks to form in the bones, thus called stress fractures.
