Introducing walking into your daily routine not only offers various health benefits, but social benefits too, according to Valerie Cook of the City Slickers. She encourages residents of Montreal to take up to 25km walks. The City Slickers group walks around the town on approximately six total 25 km walks at an average pace of 6km/hour. “I felt good about the level of fitness I was at [because of the walks], and it was fun to be outside and walking.” said Cook.
